The Board of Elections is responsible for conducting fair and impartial elections and registering citizens to vote. Elections and registration is conducted in accordance with the Georgia Election code, State Election Board Rules, Federal and Local Laws.

QUALIFYING FOR 2008 ELECTIONS

Qualifying for partisan offices will begin at 9:00 a.m. on April 28th and end at noon on May 2nd. Contact the local Republican or Democratic party for location.

Qualifying for nonpartisan offices will begin at 9:00 a.m. on June 23rd and end at noon on June 27th. Qualifying for nonpartisan offices will take place at the Houston County Board of Elections Office in Perry.
